Overview of Submission Process for Main Gallery and Postcards
New Forms May 18, 2009
League Entry Form
Main Gallery Waiver of Liability
Exhibits in the Main Gallery are typically a month long and have a theme. An evening reception occurs on the First Friday of the month. The Art League prints a postcard announcing the show and its reception.
The gallery is available to show only members’ work. On scheduled Drop-Off Days, each member may submit 2 pieces per show to exhibit and sell with 60% of the sale going to the artist and 40% going to the Art League. There is a non-refundable entry fee of $15 per work.
For juried shows, an independent juror selects the works for the exhibit. The accepted list of works for juried shows is posted 3-4 business days after Drop-Off Day on this website and at the PAL Main Gallery bulletin board (in a hallway outside main office). Any pieces not accepted must be picked up by the Wednesday after Drop-Off day.
Entries for open shows are taken on a “First come –first in” basis due to limitation of gallery space.
In both juried and open shows, pieces are judged for prizes 1st through 3rd place and honorable mentions.
Unless artists are notified by the Art League of their work’s sale, they must pick up work on Pick-Up Day to avoid $3/day storage fees.
