Thank you to those of you who submitted applications for the Pacific Art League Board of Directors. The deadline for applications is now past.

All applications have been sent to the Nominating Committee: Alan May (Instructor), Karen Gutfreund (Member, Board of Directors), Ingrid Marianne Glazebrook (Member at large), Linda Adreveno (Member, Board of Directors) and Nancy Wong (Member at large).

In accordance with the By Laws:

"Committee members, shall meet as soon as it practible, select a Chair, and prepare a slate of candidates, all of whose consent to serve if elected has been obtained. The Committee's recommendations shall be presented at the Annual Meeting of Members. [Thursday, November 29, 2007] Nothing contained herein shall preclude nominations for director from a Member; provided that no candidate shall be elected a director unless he or she has previously assented thereto in writing." 

Ballots will be distributed by USPS, email blast and through posting on the website by the end of the month and may be cast in person, by mail, by proxy or by email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Please do bear in mind that an electronic vote is not confidential.

The ballot box will remain at the front desk from the day ballots are distributed until close of voting at 8:15pm PST on Thursday, November 29th at which time the Nominating Committee will call a close to the election during the Annual Members Meeting. Results will be tabulated by some or all of the Nominating Committee present and announced, if possible, before the meeting/party is adjourned at 9:00pm PST.
