Kay Culpepper graduated from Florida State University with majors in
Spanish and English literature and minors in fine arts, French and
education. She has been a student of art all her life and a teacher. In
recent years she has taught children and adults at the Pacific Art
League, the Palo Alto Art Center, Avenidas Senior Center, Pre-School
Family, and privately. She is a working artist who exhibits locally and
in Florida. Her main focus has been watercolor painting and drawing.
Although she has a passion for travel and has painted in England,
France and Mexico, the natural world has been her main interest since
childhood. Her paintings reflect her love of wild places and her strong
feelings for protecting them. Her main focus recently has been
"endangered lands" from the foothills and coasts of California to the
remains of the wilderness shores in her native Florida."
