Steve Curl graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with
minors in Art and Journalism for Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
He furthered his art studies at the Academy of Art College in San
Francisco, the Atlin Art Center in Atlin, B.C., the Taos Institute for
the Arts in Taos, N.M., and the Ah Haa School in Telluride, CO. Steve
continues to study with master artists in watercolor and pastel
workshops. He is a well-known local artist has had his illustrations
and cartoons printed in many publications including the local Palo Alto
Weekly and the Palo Alto Daily News. He is currently the Editorial
Cartoonist for the Palo Alto Daily News. In addition to teaching at the
Pacific Art League, he also teaches at the Palo Alto Art Center, the Ah
Haa School in Telluride, Colorado, Geronimo Educational Study Tours in
Bisbee, AZ, La Entrada & Oak Knoll Schools in Menlo Park, and the
Odyssey School in San Mateo. He really likes his life, and he is
currently learning to play the guitar. It is not as easy for him as
visual art, but he still likes it.
